Rockhampton Ring Road Project Biding, Queensland, Australia

Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads has reportedly invited pre-qualified contractors to submit bids for Australia's A $1.1 billion (us $798 million) Rockhampton Ring Road project.

The project will be implemented in two phases, supported by a $852 million (us $618.1 million) from the federal government and a $213 million (US $154.5 million) from the state government.

A partnership between Jacobs Engineering Group, an American architectural design firm, and Siemens Manufacturing Engineering Centre LTD. (SMEC) will provide detailed designs for the project.

According to the federal government, a contractor for the project could be selected by mid-2022 or by the end of 2022.
